SPL Lyon Part-Dieu, leading the project
Lyon Part-Dieu Société Publique Locale (SPL) is a private redevelopment company, owned by public shareholders. It was created in 2014 as an operational tool for the Metropolis and the City of Lyon. It covers an area of 177 hectares, stretching mainly the 3rd arrondissement of Lyon. It is carrying on the work begun by the Part-Dieu department from 2010 to 2014, which launched the urban studies, conducted the first building projects and which involved the public and private stakeholders that co-produce it. The company is in charge of the urban development and construction work, economic activity, communication, citizens’ consultation and marketing.
Opened in 2012, the “Maison du projet” (Project Centre) is central to information and consultation on the Lyon Part-Dieu project. Various forms of media help to gain a better understanding of the project: two models, a tactile modelling of the project, tablets, films and various documents that can be consulted or taken away.
